Companion Dog (CD) Obedience is a novice-level course for all breeds 6 months and older. No prior training is required. This program develops true reliability for dog owners with perspective – no nagging, no food dependence, and no batteries required.

Dogs are taught to respond the first time, in real environments, under real distraction.

What we cover:

  • Leash skills (loose-lead walking, heeling, navigating hazards)
  • Basic positions (sit, down, and stand)
  • Steadiness and off-leash control (recalls, stays, safe handling/physical examinations)
  • Practical utility (trustworthiness at liberty, manners at home and in public, problem behavior solutions)
  • Foundations of advanced work (polishing for obedience trials, intro to open concepts, field/trail readiness)

Course details:

  • 10 weekly sessions (including the graduation exercise)
  • $249, payable at Week 2
  • First session is a free orientation (no dogs allowed)
